YOUTH EMPOWERMENT INSTITUTE
Youth and Alumni of Care can engage in several practical life skills and coping skills training. Some classes include financial literacy, managing emotions, parenting, restorative forgiving, budgeting, cooking classes. Youth may choose to be apart of the Youth Empowerment Advisory Board upon completion of the Youth Empowerment Institute.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT ADVISORY BOARD
Our Youth Empowerment Advisory Board is a leadership group of youth have attended and completed the Youth Empowerment Training Program. These youth are in & alumni of foster care and the juvenile justice system who facilitate peer ran activities, organize community service initiatives, oversee the community center and more.
PAID YOUTH INTERNSHIPS
In partnership with Jewish Family and Children Services, and the VOS YMCA. Our foster care alumni interns work as Peer Support Interns, where they will develop work-readiness skills and personal development skills here at the Onward Hope Office.
