Administrative & Development Assistant

Job Summary

We are searching for a dedicated and socially conscious Administrative and Development Assistant to assist our organization's administrative and development team in creating and implementing strategies that ensure sustainability and organizational growth. Duties for the Administrative and Development Assistant will include front-end representative, answer/route calls, respond to emails/inquiries, and other duties (included, but not limited to: filing, scanning, organizing) preparing progress reports, auditing files, engaging with potential donors and volunteers, tracking contributions, preparing and managing mailing lists, assisting with event planning, assisting with volunteer programs, driving community empowerment initiatives, ensuring timely acknowledgment of contributions, coordinating workshops/meetings, tracking revenue and expenditure, assisting with social media activities and updates, and assembling media kits.

Your expertise in supporting development efforts will assist our organization in improving business opportunities, strengthening relationships with clients, volunteers and donors, streamlining administrative/development processes, encouraging organizational growth, researching and identifying funding opportunities, and promoting the organization's mission and values to external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent good people skills, exceptional communication skills, and time management skills. The noteworthy Administrative and Development Assistant should enhance efficiency of administrative functions, sustain organizational growth, maintain positive relations with clients, volunteers and donors, and ensure the integrity of organizations processes.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Clerical duties, front-end (manage phone system, coping, filing, organizing).

  • Coordinate and set-up for workshops and meetings.

  • Maintaining relations with donors and clients.

  • Creating and delivering presentations.

  • Building and maintaining client and donor databases.

  • Supporting and improving fund-raising efforts.

  • Coordinating meetings and conducting research for CEO/COO.

  • Enhancing overall development initiatives.

  • Assisting in accounting procedures.

  • Identifying and engaging with support agencies.

  • Distributing public relations and prospect materials.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Google, etc.)

  • Networking skills.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Database management experience.

  • Customer-oriented.

  • Analytical skills.

  • Have or be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card

  • Pass a Drug screen

  • Bilingual (preffered)

Benefits

  • Benefits available for full-time, non-contracted employees after 90 days of employment.

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Salary: $14.00 hour
